- To support BC's road infrastructure balanced with integrated transit opportunities.
CAO Tracy informed Council about her meeting with Sergeant Gilmore from the RCMP and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture regarding the roaming horses. The representatives volunteered to assist by writing a letter seeking the endorsement of the Village of Pemberton, Lil'wat Nation, the Squamish and Lillooet Regional District, and the RCMP. This letter will advocate to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) for lowering the speed limit on the highway, particularly from the Lillooet River bridge to the Industrial Park, to 60 km/h. Once the letter is ready, it will be sent to the Village of Pemberton and partners for endorsement.
